Shri Ram–Krishna Mahavidyalaya, Kisoli, District Bulandshahr, is an emerging institution of higher education inspired by the spirit of social service and committed to providing quality, accessible, and value-based education in rural areas. The college is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut) and has been steadily progressing towards establishing a distinct identity in the field of higher education.
The foundation of this esteemed institution was laid by the renowned educationist and visionary social reformer, Late Shri Bachhraj Singh Tewatia, a native of village Kisoli. He deeply realized the lack of educational facilities in the region, particularly for girls, as there was no institution of higher education within a radius of nearly 20 kilometers. To address this critical issue, he first established an Intermediate College for girls in the village, ensuring that young women from rural backgrounds could access education in a safe and nearby environment.
Carrying forward this mission of education and social upliftment, in the year 2003, with the cooperation of local residents and socially conscious individuals, the “Kisan Mazdoor Shiksha Samiti, Kisoli” was formed and registered. The primary objective of this society was to ensure that children belonging to farmer and laborer families are not deprived of higher education due to financial constraints, and are provided quality education at minimal cost.
With this vision, the foundation of the college was laid in 2005, initially as a girls’ college. The founder firmly believed that while boys could be sent outside for education, it was often difficult for rural families to send their daughters far away. Therefore, establishing a local institution for higher education of girls was a pressing necessity.
In the initial years, the institution faced several administrative, financial, and regulatory challenges. Efforts were made to seek support under government schemes; however, due to changing policies and circumstances, it took time for the college to become fully operational. With continuous dedication, perseverance, and commitment, the college successfully commenced regular undergraduate (B.A.) classes in 2016.
Thereafter, the institution continued its journey of growth and, in 2019, adopted the co-educational system to expand access to higher education for all students in the region. In the same year, the B.Com. The program was also introduced as part of academic expansion.
In 2022, the college was granted permanent affiliation by Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, which stands as a strong testimony to its academic standards, discipline, and institutional credibility.
Furthermore, in 2024, the college achieved a significant milestone by being recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) . This recognition is a matter of great pride for the institution, as it validates its academic excellence and places it among nationally recognized higher educational institutions. It also opens new avenues for academic development, quality enhancement, and future growth.
